Electric Heights UMC News

I’d like to apologize. Occasionally, I get a bit backed up with things and I don’t get around to making standard updates to the Electric Heights web site. I finally made a bunch of changes that I’ve been meaning to make for quite some time:

• First of all, I switched our host provider to a reliable company (thanks Bluehost).
• The latest Electric Connections Newsletter is now available online and last month’s is available in the newsletter archives on the Communications page.
• The May Pastors’ messages have been posted.
• The meetings schedule has been updated.
• The most significant update: I added an online calendar of events to track meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and more. The calendar is also available from the Communications page.

Hopefully, I/we can keep things up to date for the foreseeable future.

Scott Adams, of Dilbert fame, has written a couple of somewhat unconventional religious/philosophical books. The first, God’s Debris, is available to download for free. This is a rather short book that is easy to read online (I tend to need actual paper and binding, but this is OK.). I think you’ll really enjoy the way this book makes you think about your faith.
